When you’re craving classic, flavorful French cuisine, unpretentious and delightfully old-school, this is the place to go. Booking is essential, especially if you want to dine at a reasonable hour. We truly loved everything, far beyond our expectations. From the escargot to the bone marrow (perhaps the only slightly underwhelming dish), the chicken with roasted potatoes, whose jus was incredibly flavorful, to the beef cheeks, which were melt-in-your-mouth tender. The 2015 Bordeaux complemented the meal beautifully without overpowering it. Dessert did not disappoint either: the chocolate mousse was excellent, as was the tea. The service was witty, attentive, and refreshingly honest: we initially ordered too many starters and were grateful to be told it would have been excessive. Highly recommended.

Excellent dinner tucked away from busy streets and filled with locals. You know the food will be good when they only have a handful of dishes written on the blackboard with chalk and rotate with the chef's will. The atomeshpere is warm and lively, noisy so not suitable for a business dinner or quiet date to chat, but energizing and fun. The staff members speak limited English but are very friendly and funny, they are a bunch of older French uncles that make jokes with a straight stern face. The food are very meat and fish focused, barely any vegetables... But they really know their meat, everything was cooked to juicy tender perfection and they serve exceptional butter and sourdough. Oily, salty, heavy flavored northern French traditional foods that warm up the body in a cold winter night.
